About Kayden

At Kayden International Foundation, we have a terrific, hardworking workforce. The majority of our employees are from the community, and they are all dedicated to helping the most vulnerable children and their families.

Kayden International Foundation was founded in 2018 and registered officially in June 2018 in Uganda as a company limited by guarantee incorporated with Limited Liability, which later was registered as an NGO in 2020.

In 2018 our Founder, Harriet after having gone through a still birth, went through a challenging time because she had no one to speak to about what she was going through. She saw a great need of supporting women who have such or similar situations in Uganda. During the time she saw something was often lacking when it comes to mothers and teenage girls in Uganda.  She wanted to have a place where they can open up and have someone they can share with what they are going through.

From this point, we have been working to share hope with women and teenage girls in the communities.

Our Mission Statement:

Kadyen exists to break the silence, stigma and maternal health to mothers and teenage girls in Uganda.

Kayden Executive Board.

We are composed of members and individuals invited on the basis of adequate professional experiences in areas of relevance to Kayden. To mention a few: The Executive Director, Board Chairman, Treasurer, Board Secretary and they all oversee the work of the organization.

Objectives.
To Fight stigma among rape victims and baby loss.
Provide psychological support to girls and women.
To educate girls about Sexual Reproductive Health.
To improve maternal health through sensations.
Offering health care services to teenage girls and mothers.
To offer trainings to Midwives and Counselors on how to handle rape victims and mothers who have lost babies.
To improve economic livelihoods and empowerment to women and teenage girls.
